“Alex Sebley has been one of the biggest inspirations in my life,” commented Lias Saoudi of Fat White Family on X recently, “coming in just behind Mark Smith and Buckfast.”

Sebley co-wrote the Fat White Family’s breakout single ‘Touch the Leather as well as ‘Who Shot Lee Oswald?’ ‘Rockfishes’ and many others. He went solo in 2019 under the name PREGOBLIN, working with Jessica Winter and Dante Traynor.

This year sees the release of his debut album through the Strap Originals label on February 23, 2024, with guests as illustrious as Peter Doherty within its grooves, among many others.

The album – rather perversely, if you aks us, titled PREGOBLIN II – is packed with sublimely spun indie melodicism and unforgettable tragi-comic lyricism. It’s sure to be nestling close to the top of many a list of best of albums of 2024 come the end of the year.

Having toured with Peter Doherty, recently sold out their own headline shows at the South London scene’s epicentre The Windmill on Brixton Hill and The Third Man store in Soho, as well as plus conquering Left of the Dial Festival in Rotterdam, PREGOBLIN head out on the road support of Pip Blom at four shows in February.
