Château Flight reform for first album in 18 years, but “it’s not a comeback album” | Juno Daily

Pair have continued recording, just not released the results, they say.

Chateuax Flight, one of the ‘French touch’ house scene of the 90s’ leading acts, will release their first album since 2006’s Les Vampires soundtrack.

LA Folie Studio is set for release on Versatile in double vinyl form on April 12 and is ready to pre-order.

Gilb’r, one half of the act, said: “After quite some time, we decided to release a new (double)album called La Folie Studio. The process has been spontaneous…where before we would enter so many music zones to end with a tune. It’s not a comeback album, as we never really stopped making music together, as we never really stopped making music together: we just did not recorded it… And this time we did.

“Fun always played a central rôle in our process to do music together: we hope you can hear it in La Folie Studio. Even though it’s not a Marx Brothers soundtrack. It’s always a bit strange to present new music after such a long hiatus, as old fans would expect to hear what they liked back then and new listeners are thinking you might have sticked to what you were doing before. Make up your mind!”
