Warp continues reissue campaign with Hawtin and Speedy J classics from 1993 | Juno Daily
The fifth and sixth in the Artificial Intelligence series get second lease of life
Warp is to reissue two more classic albums from their Artificial Intelligence series – Dimension Intrusion by F.U.S.E. aka Richie Hawtin and Ginger by Speedy J. Both records were originally released in 1993, and these new vinyl editions – out on November 3 – mark their 30th anniversary.
The two albums were the fifth and sixth albums in the label’s Artificial Intelligence series and were released within a fortnight in June 1993 – Dimension Intrusion came out on June 7, Ginger two weeks later. Both were also released on Hawtin’s legendary Plus 8 label in Canada.
Meanwhile, Speedy J’s annual four way live techno jam under the STOOR banner is set to be a highlight of this year’s Amsterdam Dance Event, with Surgeon, Karenn and JakoJako completing the line up. The eight hour live marathon runs from 4pm to midnight at the Paradiso on October 21.
