Exclusive: Susumu Yokota’s newly remastered Prism track ‘Velvet Nymph’ | Juno Daily

Born in Paris but calling Tokyo home from the age of four, Alex from Tokyo grew up amid the sounds and spectacles of earth’s largest city.

Japan Vibrations Vol. 1 – out on November 17 – takes you on a trip back into the halcyon era of Japan’s electronic music scene, from the mid 80s to the mid 90s, paying homage to the trailblazers and innovators who shaped the landscape.

Susumu Yokota

Artists featured include Ryuichi Sakamoto, Haruomi Hosono, Yasuaki Shimizu, Quadra (Hiroshi Watanabe) and Prism (Susumu Yokota).

Juno Daily readers can be among the first to hear a newly remastered version of the late, much missed Susumu Yokota’s early rarity ‘Velvet Nymph’, originally released under the name Prism on 1995’s Metronome Melody album.
