Premiere – Marcela Dias Sindaco’s acid electro thumper ‘Televisão’ | Juno Daily

Time to turn the ‘Televisão’ on

The fine Fixed Rhythms rhythm is proud to welcome back Brazilian producer Marcela Dias Sindaco for her debut album, following the release of her ‘Rio de Janeiro 3025 EP’ – thankfully released in 2022 rather than the year 3025 that it depicts.

They have every right to be, too. The ten track affair – titled Cidade Fantasma – is one of the very finest to be released this year. With vintage synths borrowed from her father, her icy but inviting spoken Portuguese lyrics, her characteristically straight to the point and funky yet mysterious electro…it’s all woven together in this brilliant exhibit of an artist who hears dance music in a singular way and who masterfully delivers her vision to the listener.

In keeping with this justifiable pride, Marcela and Fixed Rhythms have offered Juno Daily readers the chance to be the first to hear ‘Televisão’, one of many highlights on the album, before anyone else.

Hear the track on YouTube:

“Sindaco’s ‘Televisão’ was born during a live jam with my friend Brine,” Sindaco told us, “it just popped out out of my hands and I followed the flow. it’s 100% played live with no computer help. I liked it immediately as it is: raw and filthy funky. Sometimes my songs come out by themselves and I see them develop while I let myself go with the flow of these dusty synths from another era. I touch them and they react in a very pleasant and satisfying way.”
