Kathy Brown fans rally with Go Fund Me after cancer diagnosis | Juno Daily

Toolroom Records also to release fundraising single

Fans of celebrated house music vocalist Kathy Brown are rallying round the singer after catastrophic medical news.

Late last year Brown, who has sung on records by artists as varied as David Morales and J Majik, was was diagnosed with stage four lung cancer, which has now spread to her brain. The news came as a total shock to her fans, friends and family and resulted in an emergency operation.

She is currently undergoing a course of radiotherapy and immunotherapy and Kathy’s daughter Chanta Joyner has set up a GoFundMe to help support her family and pay for the best treatment. At present it’s achieved just over half its $50,000 target.

To aid the fundraising effort, Toolroom have announced a charity single from Wh0, Mark Knight & James Hurr featuring Kathy’s iconic vocals, ‘Turn Me Deeper’.  All the original writers have allocated all publishing earnings, with the artists and Toolroom also pledging all of their royalties from the digital-only single to help get Kathy the best treatment possible.
